Smart Beat is a baby monitor with breath detection. I did a complete re-haul of the brand’s visual presence, including the colors, logo, typography, imagery style, and much more. One of the biggest key players to building the brand into what it is today was creating Smart Beat’s voice.

After research, meetings, and more, I determined that Smart Beat should be the authoritative figure on safe sleep, but it would never sound condescending or too “formal”. Smart Beat is like the friend that will be there to help you out without judging or making you feel bad.

This entire brand identity was focused on keeping things simple, clean and relaxing so parents can immediately start feeling more at ease from the moment they have their first interaction with Smart Beat. Other competitors are very cold, while others seem like too much play and not enough technology and science to back them up.
