brand Identity design

A brand by definition is all about how others perceive your business. You could even say that a brand is the business's reputation. So it's not something that can be altered or invented forcedly, but rather something that is developed over time that is influenced by many factors.

To influence your brand, you must define and shape who you are as a business in every aspect, which all starts with great identity design.

See the different aspects of identity design Heather Avery Design offers below.

Logo Design

Your logo is the face of your business, so it is the single most important piece of design you can have. Too often logos are purchased off of generic logo generator websites, which says nothing about what makes you unique.

what happens when you request a logo design from Heather:

  1. We initiate a conversation about the scope, budget, and timeline of the project. Once the pricing and terms of the contract is settled, the process begins immediately.

  2. You get a diagnostic consultation in which we will discuss your company's goals, target audience, competition, current design styles, etc. and how this will influence your logo.

  3. Heather conducts research more about how  effectively incorporate what was discussed into your logo.

  4. Several logo concepts are presented and narrowed down to a strong direction.

  5. Refinement and revisions are made, the finished logo is delivered by the predetermined due date.

Style guide

A style guide is a document/book that contains the ins and outs of how to carry out the designs and copy for the business. These aren’t meant to be restricting to designs, but rather to be the backbone of everything the company puts out for the public eye.

what happens when you request a style guide from Heather:

  1.  We initiate a conversation about the scope, budget, and timeline of the project. Once the pricing and terms of the contract is settled, the process begins immediately. As some style guides are extensive, a pay-as-you-go agreement can be put in place.

  2. You get a diagnostic consultation in which we will discuss your company's goals, target audience, competition, current design styles, etc. and how this will influence your brand's style.

  3. Heather puts together an outline of how the document/book will be organized and designed.

  4. Once approved, the complete information and guidelines are integrated into the original outline. Any required revisions are made before the final product is delivered.

  5. If desired, for an additional fee Heather will personally work with a printing company to produce the physical copies of the style guide.

stationery + Business cards

Never underestimate the power of something tangible in an overly-digital world! Having a business card or mailing a letter can be more effective than an email or a "follow" on social media - plus it's more personal. Some businesses may not do print all the time, but when they do, it's an opportunity to promote your brand image that can't be wasted!

what happens when you request print designs from heather:

  1. We initiate a conversation about the scope, budget, and timeline of the project. Once the pricing and terms of the contract is settled, the process begins immediately.

  2. You get a diagnostic consultation in which we will discuss your company's goals, target audience, competition, current design styles, etc.

  3. Heather conducts research more about how to effectively portray your brand through a business card and/or stationery design.

  4. Several unique designs are presented and narrowed down to a strong direction. Simplicity reigns supreme here, but designs are also made to stand out from the crowd among the many businesses who used a design tool online to quickly (thoughtlessly) create theirs.

  5. Refinement and revisions are made, and Heather delivers the finished design(s) by the predetermined due date.

  6. For an additional fee, Heather will personally work with print companies to produce your stationery/business cards, the right way, the first time.
