Heather Avery Design

I would love to meet you!

Feel free to send me a message:

Hi! My name is Heather Avery. Thank you for visiting my site and exploring a bit about what I love to do - graphic design.

get to know me

I am happily married to my best friend, Josh, whose first words to me when we were about 15 years old were "I'm going to marry you someday!" He definitely keeps his word!

Aside from my passion for graphic design, I enjoy being outdoors, making puns, spending quality time with family and friends, trying new things, riding horses, and cleaning. Yes, cleaning. Josh definitely doesn't complain about that, but always gets a good laugh when I think the house is messy because the closet doors aren't closed or the pillows aren't on the right spot on the couch.

I have an extremely strong inner drive to exceed my own and others' expectations, which can be both a blessing and a curse. At times I need to learn to relax more, like when I made sure to do extra credit for a college course that I already had 103% in.

What brought me here

In my earliest memories I can remember loving to draw and create. I usually dedicated myself to drawing dogs, which was my other great love in life. I have always loved to discover new things and to work hard at eventually succeeding in those things.

Still very young, I developed an entrepreneurial spirit. I, along with my sister, ran several businesses from the front porch of our childhood home. We went beyond the typical lemonade stand by selling toys and later on, snow cones. We would hire neighbor kids as employees and would hold frequent strategy meetings, figuring out how to beat out the competition around the block.

A few years later I discovered that art and business can be combined into the incredible occupation we call graphic design. Ever since I was determined to be a professional graphic designer and have my work seen by millions of people.

While developing skills on my own as well as pursuing my formal education in Graphic Design, I began to connect with others that were in need of design for their businesses.  Although I was working at a job that I very much enjoyed, I knew that the time had come for me to pursue my own design business and focus more on the clients I was getting, rather than just doing work for them on the side of work and school.

Ever since I have enjoyed working with the great clients that have come my way. My business has grown faster than I imagined, and look forward to the growth to come.

I love getting to know such fantastic people, and would love the opportunity to get to know you!
